An effective creative product photograph will generate excitement and command immediate attention. It should also faithfully represent the real physical characteristics of the product. The way the product is illuminated should convey information about the surface characteristics. Is it glossy, or matt? Is it constructed from metal or plastic? Does it have texture? This must be implicitly communicated to the viewer whilst simultaneously providing a visually stimulating experience. This is the essence of successful creative product photography.
